During this crucial phase, we focus on translating the standard operating procedures (SOPs) commonly used in labs into the language of automation. Our goal is to create comprehensive workflow documents that accurately depict the automation steps on multiple levels. 

The workflow documents encompass various aspects, including the physical movements and precise pipetting actions required. This involves capturing essential details such as aspirating, dispensing, creating air gaps, handling plates, and seamlessly integrating with analyzers. Additionally, we address critical components like barcode scanning, retrieving information from your LIMS, and reporting measured weights to designated locations. 

To ensure accuracy and alignment with your lab requirements, we collaborate closely with your lab technicians. Their valuable input helps us build a mutual understanding of the automation process, setting clear expectations for everyone involved. Should any challenges or unique requirements arise during this phase, we welcome change requests and diligently work towards finding suitable solutions.

In the realm of software development, we harness the power of our Experimate software, developed using industry-standard tools such as Visual Studio and GitHub. Our skilled software engineers are well-versed in various programming languages, including C, C++, C#, Python, JSON, XML, and more. This ensures that our software solution is robust, versatile, and compatible with your specific requirements. 

When it comes to hardware design, we leave no detail unaddressed. Utilizing advanced 3D design solutions like Solidworks, Inventor, Eplan, and other industry-leading software packages, we meticulously craft the final design. We understand that material selection is a crucial aspect of lab automation. Factors such as chemical compatibility, application-specific requirements, and sterilization methods all play a vital role. At Synchron, we fabricate components using carefully selected and compatible materials, including POM, SS304/316L, Teflon, PEEK, FKM, FFKM, and more. With our state-of-the-art SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) powder printing capability, our engineers can quickly iterate designs and produce high-quality materials. In our quest for perfection, we understand that nobody gets it right the first time. That's why comprehensive testing is an integral part of our process. Prior to showcasing the automation to the customer, we conduct a series of meticulous tests to ensure its performance and reliability. 

Our testing regimen includes application tests, subsystem tests, data tests, as well as continuity, reliability, and interference tests. These tests validate that the product not only meets our stringent standards but also aligns with your specific requirements. Once we are confident in the system's performance, we invite you to participate in a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). 

During the FAT, we demonstrate the entire process under controlled "factory conditions," providing a transparent view of the assembled system, the implemented workflows, and the performance in accordance with the User Requirement Specifications (URS). This collaborative testing phase allows us to address any concerns or fine-tune the system to meet your expectations. Upon successful completion of the FAT, the system is deemed ready for transport.
